Best software for multi-day tours and custom itineraries: Ezus, Tourwriter and Fare Tours compared

Day-tour ticketing software cannot quote a fourteen-day itinerary. Here is how dedicated itinerary platforms compare, and when you need one that also books the components.

Short answer

For multi-day and bespoke itineraries the relevant tools are Ezus, Tourwriter and Fare Tours, not day-tour ticketing systems. Ezus and Tourwriter are quoting and proposal platforms built around supplier costings and branded travel documents. Fare Tours adds live booking: the same itinerary can hold bookable flights, hotels, transfers and tours and be paid for online as one package.

Why day-tour software fails at multi-day trips

A ticketing system models a product with a start time and a capacity. A multi-day trip is a chain of dated components from different suppliers, each with its own cost, currency, cancellation deadline and confirmation. The work is not selling a timeslot; it is assembling, costing, presenting and then confirming a dozen moving parts, usually after two or three rounds of client changes.

That is why operators selling fourteen-day trips end up in spreadsheets even when they own perfectly good booking software.

The three platforms, one sentence each

Ezus is itinerary and proposal software for tour operators, DMCs and travel designers, focused on turning supplier costs into branded multi-day proposals and travel documents.

Tourwriter is itinerary-building software for bespoke tour operators, centred on supplier databases, costing sheets and printed or digital travel documents.

Fare Tours is a white label travel platform whose dynamic packaging engine assembles multi-day itineraries from live flight, hotel, transfer and tour inventory and sells them as one bookable package on your own domain.

This is the real dividing line. Ezus and Tourwriter are excellent at the front half: build the itinerary, cost it, apply margin, produce a proposal a client will actually read, and version it as the client changes their mind. What they do not do is hold live availability or take the booking — you still confirm each supplier by email or extranet and re-key the result.

A packaging engine closes that loop. Components come from live inventory, the price reflects real availability at the moment you quote, and client acceptance creates the bookings and the payment rather than starting a round of emails. The trade-off is that live inventory only exists for suppliers with a connection; a hand-contracted mountain lodge still has to be entered manually, which every platform in this category supports.

Documents and client experience

Whatever you choose, the proposal is your sales pitch. Look for per-day layouts with images and maps, your branding throughout, multi-currency display, version history, and a web link the client can open on a phone rather than a 4MB PDF. Then check the travel documents that follow: vouchers, a day-by-day traveller app or page, and emergency contacts.

Which to choose

If you sell bespoke trips assembled from contracted suppliers and your bottleneck is producing proposals quickly, Ezus or Tourwriter will pay for itself in saved hours. If your bottleneck is that quotes turn into a week of supplier emails, or you want clients to book and pay for the package online under your brand, choose a platform with a live packaging engine.
